Bruce Scherer, Heritage Fields Farm
The focus for Heritage Fields is in creating, restoring and maintaining fields and meadows for agriculture, conservation, aesthetics and tradition. Bruce owns and operates a 70 HP Landini tractor with a variety of implements used for the tasks of field mowing and clearing, brush-hogging, scarifying, raking, grading, rototilling, liming, seeding and spraying. Bruce is a licensed pesticide applicator and a graduate of the Keystone Land Stewardship Training Program (formerly Coverts) (2002).
Heritage Fields Farm is located in the Chestnut Hill area of Orange, MA, home of the North Quabbin Garlic & Arts Festival of which Bruce is very involved.
Heritage Fields and PES partner on a variety of invasive plant control and grassland restoration projects.
